My name is Javier Errecarte, though in this context I wear the mask of J'erre (French for 'I wander' or 'I err'). I am an Argentine visual artist, digital designer, and actor.

I am interested in human behavior and psychology; because of this, much of my work is a social critique rooted in satire and the use of analogies. I generally seek to synthesize many concepts into minimalist pieces, ensuring that every digital stroke feels real and visceral.

My work has been exhibited in Paris, New York, Seville, Bali, Dubai, Mexico, Milan, London, and the Netherlands

Argentinian actor, visual artist, and digital designer Javier Errecarte is a self described creator of "visual tantrums". With his looping animations, the artist demonstrates powerful critiques and externalizes emotions in different ways. In his series "New Normality" he shows different aspects of the reality of human behavior in the times of the pandemic.

His artistic style is enclosed in a sort of rejection of the reality, to the point that he himself defines his works as 'tantrums' and 'yellings'. Javier is a well-rounded artist, whose sole purpose is to convey emotions in all possible ways: it is no coincidence therefore that he has also made himself known as an actor and author. [...]

I can't get enough of the "New Normality" series. They are peerless in their minimalism and seamlessness. Such perfect loops, indistinguishable from the cycles we get stuck in, in our everyday lives.
