Creeps & Weirdos at Art Basel 2026
The Creeps & Weirdos collection by DADA has been selected to be part of "Digital Masterpieces: From Code to Canon", an exhibition presented by ArtMeta during Art Basel week in Switzerland.
Originally launched in 2017—well before the consolidation of the ERC-721 standard—Creeps & Weirdos holds a key place in the history of cryptoart. I participated in the project as one of the 30 artists who brought this collection to life, which introduced native on-chain royalties and indexed editions; mechanics that would later become foundational pillars of NFT culture.
The exhibition is curated by Georg Bak—a curator, advisor, and academic focused on building the digital art canon—and is presented under the framework of Zero 10, Art Basel’s global initiative dedicated to art of the digital era.
Digital Masterpieces brings together seventy years of artistic evolution, tracing a line from the pioneers of computer art to contemporary blockchain-based practices, placing the 2017 pieces within this historical trajectory.
